Friendly chap behind the bar. We enjoyed a few local beers here. Menu looked good but a little pricey for us. Amazing spot with outdoor seating if the weather is favourable
This a really nice place to spend a couple of nights will visiting South Uist. The rooms are spacious and if you have a sea view and excellent view over to Eriskay. There is a comfortable bar with outside seating and a good restaurant serving excellent seafood (on the nights they can get the staff). Overall a good experience and the cooked breakfast was great as well. The best part was the sunset on the first night.
A great find at the end of the road. Had a lovely stylish feel and matched with delicious food. Perfect location for a stroll after your meal.
Nice room - it was comfortable, nicely furnished and with local soaps! The staff were lovely and really made so, so much effort to make us and our dog feel comfortable and happy! The location was also incredible being on such a beautiful beach. Highly recommend!! We also forgot something in the room and the staff have been so helpful to us in getting it returned.
My husband and I travelled to Scotland and visited some of the islands in 17 days . On the ninth day , thanks to the closure of a hereby hotel that we had booked to eat , we came to polochar. The gentleman that attended to us was ever so friendly and welcoming....and the food! Wow !was really really good and the best we have had so far . It was a good thing that the hotel was closed , we wouldn't have discovered Polochar. Thank you
I was parked in front of the Inn in my van. And decided to eat at the restaurant. What a FANTASTIC meal prepared by chef Sarah! Pumpkin ravioli with a bit of ratatouille sauce (to die for!) ; and perfectly cooked fish and chips. Delicious! And an extra high five to the three staff (including Sarah) who helped push me out of the wet grass in front of the hotel facing the ocean!!! I would still be stuck here if it were not for them and they're gallantry! If this is the standard that they provide it is definitely five star. I would certainly come back here again to eat and stay!
We didn’t stay but enjoyed absolutely delicious food !! Really comfortable surroundings and staff were great ! Can’t rate the food more highly ! Fabulous langoustines and unbelievable sea bass with smoked salmon and pea linguine Location is also really good .. right on the beach x
Great place to use as a base to explore the area and recharge your batteries. Room was very clean and comfortable! It met all our needs! Loved it. Dinner menu was good and everything we ordered was tasty! The langoustine’s were amazing, we were looked after by a waitress called Megan I think her name was, local & a islander, she ran the show by herself in that dining room, she deserves a raise! Would definitely return again
